"Thriving in the Virtual Marketplace: My Exciting Journey of Trading Fimbul Airbikes and Star Atlas

I do one trade of Fimbul Airbike ships. I buy two at different times, but close together, within two weeks, and sell them a week later, netting $0.28. It is money. It is trading. I’ve been rinse-repeating this for two years amid all the changes. A trader's life.


 On second look, it took 50 days. Still money, a successful trade. This trade takes one month to complete. In the past, they’ve taken as little as one day, but it’s a highly variable time. Better prices and demand equal better sales. I keep at them because they only take 5 minutes a day to tend to and flow spendable crypto Solana that can be turned into dollars and cents. It’s very fun for me to deal in virtual items. As I get more trades done, I can post more trades.



I have a dozen trades in Star Atlas open now: buy, sell, waiting on completes. It is a slow-moving market, but it’s there. The higher-end items go for much more than I deal in, but they are on my radar to trade in the future. It is hopeful, exciting times in virtual RCE gaming.

It takes a minute or two to set up, and then comes the wait. This wait might be longer than usual because there are two fire sale sellers in the market. I check the market interface for orders regularly. I start by checking the wallet because it's faster. If an order has gone through, it shows up there. Whenever I see an order in the wallet, I head to the game website for more details. Today, I notice two orders came in: a sale of Fimbul Airbikes in Atlas currency. This means a cycle is complete. I sold 2 Fimbul Airbikes for 1,570 Atlas each, totaling 3,140 Atlas, which is $2.83. I had bought them 40 days ago for $1.16 each in Atlas, totaling $2.32. Selling them at $0.009 per Atlas today records $2.83, so my net is $0.51. That's $0.51 for just 5 minutes of work. Given the minimal time commitment on my end, I easily spend 5 minutes every 3 to 50 days to keep things flowing. I also had a buy order for 2 Pearce X4s in Atlas come in, totaling 4,020 Atlas, or 2,010 Atlas each. I quickly turn around and post those for sale at the current market price of 3,770 Atlas each. 9/13/25   I've been playing Star Atlas as a trader for two years now. While it's not my main game, it has the potential to be, and now feels like the right time to dive deeper into it. Time constraints usually hold me back, but the allure of a space MMO keeps drawing me in. As a trader, I've done okay, and it's genuinely fun. I see myself dedicating more time to it and making it a bigger part of my gaming routine.
